Title: New Car
Post by: omega3000 on 15 January 2013, 17:03:04
Driving my new car back today ... very pleased with it apart from the noise  :o ;D Lovely red hot heater and comfy seats , even has a bleep bleep for lights left on . Very nippy for a 1.1 , just needs a few minor thing sorting out on it .

New center section exhaust
New CV joint
Plugs
Oil filter
Air filter
Oil & coolant

£60 all in  ;D

£10 of petrol should last me 2 months  ;)

Thanks to martin for your time and making sure i got back safe  :y You got me a good car  :y

Oh yeah the car . Its a 1998 peugeot 106 1.1 zesty   ;)

Nice one, but be careful working on it.  I refuse to work on french cars anymore, the parts and bolts are made of swiss cheese.  They are a pig to work on, even the most simple of jobs becomes frustrating.

I had the saxo 1.1 version brand new in 98. Not too bad to be honest...apart from the exhaust falling off and a piece of wire coming through the seat and sticking properly into my back. Thinking of downsizing myself but not sure I can go that small anymore though ;D

on a serious note it looks tidy. got to agree with guffer that for some reason the frogs make everything with really fiddly ''if you touch me i'm going to break in your hands'' plastic parts. but thats generally citroens. the pug 106 was nice to work on.

When I see things like this I do wonder why I don't ditch the Omega and get a small economical car.  :'(

That said, I love the old girl and she gives me a warm feeling when I drive her  :y

One problem , buying a V8 needs a shed load of money in the first place .. well more than i can afford anyway .
