Title: Another brake light problem for you!
Post by: roger.frost on 16 January 2013, 21:20:12
Hi guys. I have the RH brake light not working. I've tried 3 new bosch bulbs, still not working. Just checked terminal block on the light cluster and discovered it has only has 0.3 volts going to the terminal with the pedal depressed. All other lights working fine. Any ideas where to look next.
Many thanks.

Just realised my car details have disapeared!

Inspect all the terminals on all of the fittings and on the connection block.  It's likely to be grounding somewhere causing problems.

If you have a tow-bar fitted with electrics, investigate that route also.

Many thanks. Have cleaned all the terminals. The low voltage was read at the connector immediately attached to the loom.
No tow bar fitted.

Thanks Symes. Will probably give that a go. The faulty ground sounds a bit like a needle in a haystack.
