Title: The Dreaded Conversation
Post by: Sam Burton on 20 January 2013, 20:36:25
So guys we all well no the Blessed Omega isn't in many peoples mine going to be with them forever but the problem is what's the replacement?? Loads of EX-OOFers have resorted to BM's some to Merc's, I Personaly like the Insignia but only thing is you have to have a decent spec one as like the new mondeo the wheels look to Small and like its already been mentioned the Insignia is FWD and all us nutters are used to RWD so whats the dreaded replacement??

I personally would consider any of these for the distant future as a possible replacement, Audi A6/S6/A8/S8 4x4, VXR8, Monaro, Insignia 4x4 Elite, Jaguar S Type, possibly more but can't remember at the top of my head.  ;)

Just picked up a 12 plate VW Phaeton for £18,950, they lose horrific amounts of money.

It was cheap granted, but you can pick up a 30k mile Phaeton for about £21,000 from a dealer. The badge loses them loads of money, they're very nice cars to drive  :y.

I'm daily-driving an A6 Avant at the moment. Whilst its not got the handling prowess of the Omega B, it has plenty of grip and goes fairly well - and there's agood supply of A6s going into the distance.

I also have a saloon one which is going to be sold in the next couple of weeks - and your £2K buys you a Quattro with recaro interior, solar sunroof and double glazing.
