Thread blatantly robbed from another forum I frequent. :-[
I know its probably more suitable to 'general car chat' but, in all honestly, I think the thread will have more of a life here.
So. Apart from the obligatory opal fruits under the rear seats (I'm sure they get put there on the assembly line) whats all been found in your car purchases?
Those that break cars on here might be finding more than most of us and be at an advantage..... :) :)

Found a very large laminated map of London in one of my breakers last year.Lots of golf Tees, about £7 in change stuck in the drivers seat runners of the previous one.Keep hoping to find a long forgotten bag of £50 notes tucked under a rear seat but no such luck yet.
Cant think of anything particularily bizzarre at the moment.

a partially molten screwdriver in the cambelt area (clit) ???
-
Never found anything strange - maybe the odd trinket that I couldn't identify. I did find £12 under the rear bench in Goldie. That wasn't far off what I paid for the car ;D

A video tape. Recorded. Had to check contents, of course. Wish I hadn't. Blue movie. Unfortunately the "actresses" were very very very large >:( And there were a few of them. Poor bloke.

I've found various things;

The funniest things come in P/X's where the client says the vehicle 'is running perfectly' and you find in the glove box estimates dated recently detailing how the vehicle is falling apart, or needs a new turbo etc ;D

My latest breaker had a spare key wrapped in an enormous amount of insulating tape stuck up under the rear bumper, looked like it had been there many years.I doubt the last couple of owners knew it was there.

Bit like the notes found behind the Oddmeter Cluster, 'Oh No not again'

A very dead person. Well this a little bit of a cheat as it wasn't my car. It was just one I was passing in a car park. Poor chap had passed on waiting for his wife to return with the shopping. I was only 14 and shat myself :(

A gold watch and a wedding ring , both under the back seat :o
-
I have found a metal baseball bat in the rear of a car where the back seats and boot carpet meet, bought it off an elderly lady as well :)
A work mate showed be a vectra he had bought and was very proud of, I noticed that the rear door handles were very worn and 2 screw holes in rear bumper - I asked him was it a taxi? No he says it only has 48,000 on the clock and the guy he bought it off had just been laid off etc etc, we lift the boot floor to check the spare/jack and bits and there is the taxi licence plate in with the spare wheel - he was gutted.....

In my last Omega, the air filter was stuffed with a rag, instead of a filter, and a jam jar wedged in the front sub-frame.
-
Three dead bats with opened wings between the two front radiator. The previous owner complained me that the coolant continously boiling no found any reason. I found why ;)

Part of my current job entails looking through the cars that are trade ins or sourced from auction/other dealers before entering into stock.
Have found assorted condoms, both new and used.
'Intimate' lubricant.
Assorted nether garments, male and female.
Vibrators and other similar strap on devices for those of society that are unsure of which sexual direction to turn....
Cash, in varying ammounts. Some goes into the biscuit fund, some into my personal malt fund....
Assorted ammunition, of varied calibers, discharged and live.
Component parts of weapons - it is a farming/huntin/shootin/fishin type dealership I work at.
Needles for syringes - see above farmer Giles type owners.
Baseball bats and similar lump ended bits of timber, kinda oversize to be a priest. Would need to be great white fishing rather than salmon...
Spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, breaker bars, fuses, spare lamps, tyre compressors, towropes, satnavs, satnav mounts, phone chargers, phones, maps, etc etc etc.
Once found a home made coffin, complete with occupant in it, in a previous employ. Must have told that story once or twice at an OOF meet after a dry sherry or three. If you havn't heard it, ask me next time you see me after I've been on the wine gums. Its quite amusing and worth the retelling... ;D

I once found a Pheasant wedged between top and bottom wishbones, cooking gently against a hot brake disk, which had done a great job of plucking one side of it. I do know where that came from, so not actually strange. When I say a Pheasant, it wasn't entirely complete. Not sure what happened to its' head, but suspect it was the wrong side of the top wishbone to continue its' journey along with the body. ::)
Oh, and during my recent'ish Westfield rebuild I found the cap from a Weber carburettor which had vanished on her maiden voyage 12 years earlier.
Not much else to report. Bit boring, really.
