2.4 is a 4 banger. 2.6 straight 6. 2.4 was a low compression run on any kinda of grotty fuel available. I doubt air mass meters are inter-changeable

2.4 never available in UK.
AndyC might know - pm him

No it wasn't

True, but c24ne and c26ne has the same compression Ratio : 9.2. Number of cylinder is not important. c20ne flow meter is the same as c30ne`s i think...I wonder will c24ne`s flow meter work properly on c26ne, cause the last one is out.

Was the 2.4 fitted to Frontera .

Thought the Funtractor 2.4 was an 16 valve lump?

Funtractor 2.4 was indeed 8-valve

yes it was, 2.4 8 valve cam in head unit (C24NE) as used in the Long Wheel base Frontera A, mega long stroke and hence good low down torque.
The vx part number for the 2.4 is 93174460 (and is very F-expensive!)
The vx part number for the 2.6 I cant find.

No 16V power plants on the Frontera A :y
