Post by: SIR Philbutt on 25 January 2013, 23:28:35
The cat that I got my daughter 15 years ago (next monday - day after her birthday) has had a tumor on her leg for some time. Been getting it treated but today vet found it had spread to her lungs and would be best if  :'(  she  :'( :'( be prevented from  :'( :'( :'( suffering.

RIP Holly  :-* :-* :-*  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

She turned 17 sometime around christmas

Yes we have all had a good cry

Sorry to hear that, but a good age all the same; should offer some comfort...... :) We have the same problem coming to us with an elderly dog and cat, we knew when we got them that we would have to face the inevitable some day, just sadly that 'someday' gets closer and closer..... :(

Just to let you know Phil we are going through the same over here .
Leo , our 15 year old Snow Leopard ,succumbed to the cancer that he has been fighting for over a year . I promised him I'd be there at the end ,and I was holding him as he drifted off to sleep .
A unbelievably difficult thing to do.....
He was a most intellegent ,wonderful and enjoyable companion to us over the 15 years he was with us and his presence  is desperatley  missed in this house .
My old Friend ...........
