Post by: scottambrose on 26 January 2013, 20:10:24
Decided to keep my omega after parking her up for 2 months to sell her i decided to sell my astra instead. So jobs i need to do are.
Replacecam cover gaskets, change all tyres, it seems to like following the camber in the road so i assume thats the crap tyres, they have wornevenly. Replace climate panel as off button has worn. Fit auto dim mirror, change backbox for right one

Where do they find morons, writing Haynes manuals? Some mistakes are so stupid.

Best off asking these guys on here for help..haynes manuals are a complete waste of time and they do not know the short cuts you can make whereas these guys do as they have a vast amount of hands on experience and friendly too.... :y :y

Thats why we often call them the Haynes Book of B-O-L-L-O-C-K-S ;D

But they do have a place, and can be helpful :y

change all tyres, it seems to like following the camber in the road so i assume thats the crap tyres, they have worn evenly.

Mine was doing the same. I've replaced all 4 tyres, done the tracking and balance, and now it behaves much better. I used http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/ to source the tyres.
Good luck! 8)

Depends on wheel size mate = some sizes do make a mig follow camber-used mine as tester of that fact :y

In order of simplicity ...

Syringe (dead simple)

"turkey baster" (don't let the wife know you've used it)

Kitchen roll (takes forever)

Get as much out as you can before taking the plugs out, a SMALL amount won't matter, but large amounts will cause fouling of the plugs and the potential to contaminate the cats.

:)
