Shouldn't be a fail, although it may be close :-\ Basically under 300mm from any seatbelt, suspension or chassis point is fail ;)

They will, but should be ok as its far enough away from a main structure point, or what ever their definition is.

I shall give him something obvious to fail it on, I'll knock the headlights up a tad ::) (run out of knackered orange bulbs for the indicators ;D)

Hammer on the drivers side windscreen will do the trick. ;)

He's yet to fail it on the rather great chip, about the size of a 50p, in the wiper arc ::)

Depends where in the arc ;) Anywhere other than driver's line of site and it's not a fail

If it had a rubber grommet, then technically the hole is pre existing part of the car, put there by the people who designed and built it ::)
Was a common issue on MK2 Granada saloons, but not an MoT problem unless you could put your hand through it ::) although, if the car was that rotten, there were several other panels to fix first ;D

I think Mark has some off-cuts from the buffer beam off the DMU....could tack a bit of that across the hole. :)
