It should stop as soon as you put key in ignition and start it

As a TEMPORARY fix .... don't lock the car with the remote fob, or with the key in the front door.

Instead, after shutting the front doors lean through the back door and push the button down on the drivers door, then shut the back door.

The car will now be locked by THE ALARM WILL NOT BE SET, thus it will not go off when the front door is unlocked with the key.

Technically this invalidates your theft insurance .. but who would know ???

IT will keep the neighbours happier until you get it a replacement key.
