My replacement 2.5 fuel rail and inlets arrived today 8)
Basically I'm going to send it off to the Northampton Motorsport place to get the injectors tested and cleaned (I bought it to save having the car off the road while I took it out, took it there and had to find time to put it back... was only £20 off eGay :y)
Anyway, it's arrived and I've checked it over and none of the injectors seemed damaged and the seals look good.
only thing is it's bit mucky and at the bottom of the inlets and insidehas lots of black crap. i really dont want to soak it in petrol but is it ok to spray the insides of the inlets with carb cleaner and then let them dry out? ust dont want anything to go BANG when i start it up ::)
am also going to blast the electric connector with a load of electric contact cleaner 8)
also going to replace the 6 'o' rings just for completion. anyone got the part number for them? and i'm thinking a drop of oil round them will help on installation?
:y
