No. it's about 2yr old now. will have to dig my ps2 out of the cupboard and use that for a while.

Like Tunnie says, try cleaning the lazer  :y

I prefer the cotton bud & meths, but the 360's a pig to take apart, though if you feel adventurous there's some vids on you tube on how to take them apart.

I read somewhere about the warranty being 3 years ?. You can get a replacement drive from Fleabay for about £30, and a few hrs with a screwdriver would change it over.  :y  Try complaining to M/S first.

That's is provided it hasn't been chipped of course. My boss had his returned because of the internal mods. I supposed you could always "help" it to fail by making it overheat, wrapping it in a towel to get it hot, and then cooling down rapidly might do it. You would have to do this quite a bit, prob a lot easier to buy another drive !.

Or it might just be the laser needs changing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XBOX-360-DVD-DRIVE-LASER-LENS-HD63_W0QQitemZ260236542990QQihZ016QQcategoryZ112848QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Best of luck,

Ken
