Title: Cd multichanger
Post by: silvergold on 31 January 2013, 23:04:34
Hi folks.
This may sound a daft question but can anyone tell me where the cd changer should be in my 2.5 cd estate. made in 2000. Someone has put a non standard radio in it and I would like to change it back to a standard set up if possible. I am pretty sure it would have had a changer as I know the original radio had a cassette player in it.At present I can,t even find any wiring that might have been a connection for it.
Cheers Roy. ???

Yep open tailgate....right hand side behind the opening cover thats where it goes...if you look onto the bottom you should see about 3 bolts sticking upwards from the floor thats where  the cage that you need to take the changer bolts down to...and then changer just slides in downwards  :y

ah sorry did not read your question properly thats where you can put the changer for your after market  radio in the back........if you want to go  back to the original unit it may have had  a  cr2006 that incorporates the changer in the radio that fits into the dash then i think thats what you need. :-[

Hi Flyer
sorry its taken so long to get back go you. I think you have answered my question though because there is no wiring for a changer in the rear compartments. I will look out for a cr 2006 as you suggest, although sound from the after market radio is superb I would prefer to be able to use the steering wheel controls, and have the car looking as it should.
Many thanks Roy.
