As I understand it there are two different types of lifter, early & late. With the change being around 1998, they have a spring inside them?
You can pump them clear of old oil once removed, so help them work better?
I'd like a full set of V6 lifters from a known good engine, as I'd like to resolve an issue with my 3.2.
I don't know if its going to fix the problem, so not looking to spend Mega bucks :y

Think albitz got a late set of 3.0L ones?
-
Has he? Hoepfully he will spot this sooner or later, otherwise I'll drop him a PM :)
-
Inside an engine though. :)
Not even sure if 3.0lifters would be suitable. :-\

I've got a pair of 2002 2.6 heads 'somewhere' with all the lifters and valves still in them. I don't know what condition the lifters are in, but if you're going to refurb them it might be an option... :-\
-
Did you know if engine sounded ok when removed? Guess though I can visually inspect and pump each one clean :-\
No rush on this, its something I want to resolve, but if you come across them I'd be interested. :) :y

Guess they're all the same - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Opel-Calibra-Omega-2-5-2-6-3-0-3-2-V6-Hydraulic-tappet-lifters-set-24-/270916007338?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f13da35aa (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Opel-Calibra-Omega-2-5-2-6-3-0-3-2-V6-Hydraulic-tappet-lifters-set-24-/270916007338?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f13da35aa)

No, they're not all the same, they changed with V6 engine number 8159069, so you need the later ones (although all 3.2 engines used the later ones).
