Title: Worst Customer Service Ever ? Machine Mart
Post by: Markie on 06 May 2008, 17:44:01
Phoned the number on my order confirmation email today about the items i ordered over 10 days ago ( and was paid for)

First guy had no idea or intrest in tracking them, couldnt tell if they were in stock, in warehouse or out for delivery. Said he would ring me later....

Obnoxiously mumbled "minimum of 5 working days" as well when i commented in the unusually long timescale - "yes mate i know its been 7 now and no contact from you guys"

The swine hung up on me and i had to phone back - he hung up on me again as soon as i spoke...

Got through to customer care via store and they advise "oh yes - er the item is out of stock" ( there still selling it on website) "be 14 day sor so before its in...." You see sir we got a big export order for that product just after you placed the order"  >:(

Sacked em - I have spent thousands in there and they dont even have the decency to listen to customers when they call, or sort issues out when they ask.

So cancelled the order, So there ! >:( ;D

beware of using them online as they clearly sell products that they dont have in stock....stick to the high street shop!

Oh dear :(

It seems alot of firms customer services just don't want to know anymore. Everything is a fight with them, they just don't care >:(

That attitude would get a "snot-o-gram" letter to Store Manager, and Chairman of Company, copied to local paper.

And I write a good "snot-o-gram" according to Mrs E ...  :)

refund?

Yep - the main item was a heavy duty high lift trolley jack to lift the Jeep - ive managed to use my current jack on al heavy paving slab ( on top on another slab ) to do they job.

If i waited for the item to arrive it would NOT be required - Jeep brakes will be done this weekend.

The other items i purchased were simply "toys" that i threw in my basket seeing as i was ordering.

So cancelled and refund going through to my card.

keep your eyes peeled to make sure you get the refund, unless THATS out of stock too!! and if you're lucky and they're as idiotic as they sound, you might receive the goods too!

Complain markie!

Same thing happend with a snowboarding jacket i ordered online. First one i wanted was not in stock in large online so went for my second choice. 2 days after ordering they e-mail me say its out of stock and not getting any more in.

Something about the database looking at total stock, not sizes. I complained about their poxy database. They said it was out of their hands but i pointed out its their database they should get it right.

Anyway, i got 10 percent off my next order which was a sale item anyway. I got it for 70 quid was 150!!!!

Try good old BT
I have now complianed twice to the Director of Customer Service in writing
On the first occasion after 3 weeks I was asked to call them, a hold of 15 minutes to be connected to India, who knew nothing of the problem, were not empowered to act and who were responsible for the problem of which I was complaning in the first place. So I asked to speak to a supervisor and after another 10 minutes spoke to a Geordie with a well rehearsed script who told me there was nothing that could be done in respect of refunding the money paid to my ISP to expedite reconnection of my ADSL connection that BT had discontinued lst July instead of merely transferring my telephone calls to an alternative number while my house was being repaired. In fact he informed me that there was no possible way of expediting matters, yet I got my connection back in 2 days!
The ISP (Force 9 who are now owned by BT) actually then refunded by monthly charges from July 17 to March 08 because even if a modem had been connected we could not have made use of their services. That is good Customer Service!. This was prompted by posting the details on their user Forum which they monitor, we did not have to ask for a refund, they offered it.
The threat now to BT is to involve the Consumer Association if they do not respond positively in writing >:(

sounds like our local recycling depot staff, all fat and lazy slobs who dont even get up for you, unless you are chucking away something they might make a few bob out of!
one of them even watched my missus struggle to chuck some wood into a skip only to be told "wrong one, take it out and put it in the other wood skip". she refused as a mark of annoyance and as she got to the gate one of them swung a leg at her jeep as if to kick it.
needles to say when i showed back up there to rip a few teeth out they could not even remember her !!!! WAŁKERS

Got the evils from ours when I finally got round to ditching my waste oil. Admittedly I did have 45 litres, but some idiot started crawling over my car, asking how much oil it uses, and sarcastically saying I should change it regularly before wandering off to get the supervisor. If he'd asked me if it was trade waste I would have explained how I came to have 45 litres of waste oil, but as it is, I dumped it and breaked off. >:(

When the proper bins are full - everything then goes to landfill >:(

And I cannot find the plastic recycling bin anywhere
