So what have you all done, anything interesting???

We bought a new doormat. The cat pee'd on the old one.
God, I don't think I can stand the excitement...
-
Took the wife to Hamburg airport so she can get to London for her next round of trips so I get 7 days peace :y
Once I dropped her off I nipped over the border to Denmark to research my planned fly fishing trip for next weekend. I'm after those sea trout, bass and garfish! ;)

I do salidioter fly fishing, which is more fun than trout fishing IMO, and the fish are tastier! yum!
Its crackin exercise too, when I went recently in hawaii chasing the hard-fighting bonefish I used a gps to log where I had takes and the such. Works out I walked over 10km in the water! No wonder I was 'dangle berries'ed afterwards ;D ;D ;D ;D

Another day spent showing off the youngest Count to the rellies in south of france --- so far he has collected a months wages just by being cute and fluttering his big brown eyes! Never works for me :-/

Went up to my mates mums in Fife last night. She is a dog breeder and has a wee cottage in the middle of nowhere, really peaceful.
Had a few ton of drinks, had a right giggle, and somehow have agreed to take two dogs she is fostering just now.
If I cant get the two dogs, she will give me one of the new pups.
She currently has 28 dogs at the moment.
I dont know how she can manage.
My friend, his swmbo, my swmbo and of course myself, decided to take a wee detour on the drive back home and take his wolf/gs hybrid for a walk on the beach and get some ice cream. ;)
I treated mesel to a slush puppie too. :y
Back in the house now and am shattered.
Unfortunately got a 5am start in the morning :(
At least it's just a 3day week. :y
-
Had my parents staying.
So did some gardening and went down to Loughborough for a ride on the newly restored Oliver Cromwell steam locomotive......purely for my little lad of course ::)

The Wife is in the Canaries, so took the opportunity to put some extra baffles in the Harley in an attempt to tone the noise down a bit for the MOT. It seems just as loud, but half an octave lower, :o which may do the trick.
-
I woke up at 7:30 this morning then remembered it was anotehr day off; bonus! I went back to sleep and had another hour in bed.
Cleaned and leathered the car
Re-strung the guitars
Mowed the grass
Spent £700 in Milton Kenynes IKEA!
I have built:
a coffee table
3 bathroom cabinets
2 chests of drawers
2 sets of bookshelves
4 underbed baskets
dining room table and 6 chairs
Knackered now and enjoying a quick drink then it's time to hit the sack soon.

took daughter to the cinema, cooked dinner, pottered in the garden, then did 4 hours work in the studio.... well, i say work... it was more like 5 minutes work, 45 minutes dicking about then 3, hours , on and off, of playing "mr Shredhead" along with my iTunes library :D, reminding myself why i own nice guitars.... :D
haven't played much recently... fingers are now a tad sore..... :'(

Won a gold watch yesterday.
SWMBO & mother in law disappeared early to look for wedding outfits. So I had SEVEN, yes guys Seven, hours cleaning the mig.
Its the first total clean its had since we bought it.
Outside washed, clay bar all over, 2 coats of black polish, 2 coats of clear polish & the wheels all scrubbed & polished.
Inside it got hoovered, glass all done, headlining cleaned, carpets cleaned & leather fed & glossed up.
All this & a suntan as well
Good times :y

I fixed the multirams on the MV6 that hadn't been working since HG work, and took for a 0-60s test down A43 as it still feels slow. 7.5s out of an auto is respectable enough though ::)
Then I fitted a CARiN system to tractor, still need to mount CD unit when bracket arrives, and flashed it up to V2.3
Then I had my first bbq of the year, then promptly nodded off for a couple of hours ;D
-
my dad used to do that, nod off in the afternoon. i think its an age thing. ;D ;D ;D ;D

So dishwasher has now been on 3 times this morning........and ive just dirtied a frying pan and plate making meself a bacon egg buttie :y
Washing machine has been on 3 times as well.
Im off out in a bit to go and sort a tyre out for one of the alloys.......and to get a haircut.

Essentially, a meatloaf recipe , made with finest fillet steak lean mince, onions, peppadews (Cherry pepppers) brioche crumbs , tomato puree, worcester sauce and egg, with a layer of blue cheese in the middle of it.... (note the meatloaf beef is fried off and excess juices removed before making the mix.... )
geta LARGE marrow... peel it, and slice off the top, NOT halfway down... but just far enough in to get to the core, without wrecking it's "structure" , spoon out all the seeds and stringy bits... stuff with the meatloaf mix, putting a layer of stilton in the middle...
butter some foil (on the Shinier side) , and generously grind fresh black peper on to it, and a tiny bit of salt, and garlic granules if you like, then put the "lid" back on the marrow... and tightly wrap it inside the foil
bake in a pre-heated medium hot oven (about 190 c ) for about 45 minutes to an hour...
unwrap, slice into the required number of portions (we usually feed 4 per marrow) and serve with new potatoes , tossed in lime juice and butter.
