On the page Del raised about another car I noted this rare beast:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1992-VAUXHALL-SENATOR-CD-24V-GREEN-/330870513472?_trksid=p2047675.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D555001%26algo%3DPW.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D29%26meid%3D5592163540683179248%26pid%3D100010%26prg%3D1013%26rk%3D3%26sd%3D251224962146%26
In green as well, which I think must be rare. Now I could be tempted by that!! :-* :-* :-* :-* 8)
.........and just at 54,800 miles on the clock.
Were's that £1300 when you need it! ::) ::) ::)

Georgeous. 8)
-
A credit to its owner :y
But doesn't float my boat any more... ...20yrs ago, maybe...
-
I wasn't going to say anything but I have had a few bids on it at the moment I'm not on it, it's starting to get out of my price range and in this condition I can see it doing over 2k.
-
Now if it was a Monza ::)
-
Id rather have this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-OPEL-MONZA-GSE-3-0E-BLACK-/261165879647?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cceb3115f
-
That senator is nice but the monza would be my choice :-*
-
Is that a realistic price for senators? In that case I'm keeping my omega in good nick because one day when albs, elite Pete have finished breaking them for parts they will be worth good money

And it's got the analogue instrumentation too! :y
Some interesting footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3mnUUZSOjY
If you're gonna go for a Senator, then the 3.0 litre 24 valve jobbie is the only one to have IMHO! :y
-
Julys tax payment is looking in doubt ;D ;D ;D...think I would call it money better spent ;)..Love that Monza :y
-

I'd love the 3.0 litre Senny. Problem is I'd have to sell the Omegod. Me and the wife have 5 cars between us and I also have a bike. It's getting out of hand ::)

I'll let you in to a little secret. If I had to choose between the 2 I'd keep the Gsi. ;)

Surprised the owners club have not clocked that one :-\ Lovely sound those inline 6s make :P
-
It's ok and has been looked after but it's starting to rust at the rear of the sills and the back doors, I also suspect the rear arches are full of bog but the inside is immaculate :y

The old Senator Achilles heel again then!
Unless you can afford the expense of new body sections (Vx once quoted me £1,000 per side for the rear wings and wheel arches) you can only walk away as I suspect you have Pete :y :y

It looks god in the pictures and it wasn't too bad just standing and looking at it but ones you start prodding I suspect there could be holes made quite easily plus it's got no MOT so would need welding and all I wanted to do was make a few quid so I walked away, but if it was a Monza ::)
-
Certainly looked like it had been well loved in its time...however age was definately creeping up on it.
-
I ran a Monza[love the shape]And a Senator side by side for a while, far and away preferred the Senator to drive so flogged the Monza.Would have another senator if I could find a cheap one.
-
Senny finished at £1850.
