Title: Ford Focus Radio Code
Post by: Vamps on 14 February 2013, 22:58:07
Master Vamps ended up with a flat battery today, left his lights on all day.... ::) ::)

As a result his radio is asking for its code, and the code is not on any paperwork etc, anyone know if there is a default code, suggested 0000 or 1234 and how many tries before it locks; I have suggested he needs to take it to a Ford dealer, and or, local auto electrician that is very good. I had to with a Mig a couple of years ago, sorted by Vx dealer; problem is he is going to Leeds for the weekend and needs his music.......Any suggestions?

Don't keep trying or the unit will lock up,the supplying dealer(when new)will have the code in there system but any ford dealer can get it with the radio serial number. :y

I have software that will decode the serial number. Which will be on a sticker on the body of the unit.
PM me and I'll give it a go.

Thanks Nick and adey, he is away for the weekend, I know he went to a local Ford dealer who apparently could not sort it, don't know the details... ::) ::)

Vamps, it's a tiny file. If you let have your address I'll Email it to you. It's idiot proof.

had this problem on my brothers 2001 focus last weekend - paid £5 to radio-code.co.uk (had to pop the unit out to get the serial number) and had it in a couple of mins.
