What differences are there between an Elite Omega and this Jaguar
i.e. What toys does the Omega Elite have that the Jaguar doesn't and what toys does the Jag have that the Omega Elite hasn't got etc ?
:)

Jag hasn't got Bose for one thing and is a FWD so basically a Ford Mondeo st
Don't think it has HID lights either, or self levelling suspension :-\

till you need but parts then is different story

I thought the S Type was RWD and the X Type FWD ???
-
X type is 4WD apart from the 2.1L which is FWD
S type is RWD

My mates got a diesel one. Less room inside than the mig, felt a bit cramped. He wanted a towbar fitted for his ski jets and was quoted £700 for single electrics.
What differences are there between an Elite Omega and this Jaguar ? one is a GM the others a Ford. Stick with a Mig

S type - no legroom in back compared to Omega, spec depends on model. If you want a Jag with rear legroom and better and more "goodies" than the Elite go for an XJ :y

If looking at an early V8 XJ[1997-2000/1]Then check to make sure the timing chains/tensioners have been upgraded to the 4.2 litre spec and for extra piece of mind[although if it's survived this long it should be o.k]have a blow by test done on it to make sure engine is still in fine fettle. The early engines had nicasil lined cylinders which were badly affected by the high sulphur fuel sold then, especially if used for short runs. These problems affected all engine capacities. The S-type Jag was based on a Lincoln chassis.

LPG conversion on an Omega is feasible, for a start, and the engine will survive. :y
