Yes, and like others suggested in the other thread Symes, it could well be a badly fitted half moon in one, or both, of the cam cover gaskets.
I had the same when I didn't fit the one on the right hand (passenger side bank) properly due to the engine lifting bracket getting in the way. Oil poured out and I was smoking so bad I had people asking me if my car was on fire! ::) ::) ::)
Worth checking Symes with a mirror and your fingers, and just feel if the half moons are really in place and firm. :y :y
Do not scarp your beloved miggy yet!!!
-
Aye , its still good for 200,000 yet :)

My A*** done about 10 migs mate- Typical though isn't it-Still glad not someone else's miggy-What surprised me was seal on banjo bolt going south :o Still at least bottom of miggy wont rust ;D ;D covered in oil ;D
-
Was the oil cooler banjo bolt loose mate? Seals on that are two solid copper washers one above and one below banjo - unlikely to leak if banjo bolt tight.
-
good result mate :y :y :y :y
