Title: Rover 25/200 parts
Post by: TheBoy on 03 November 2006, 16:38:52
Probably one for Markiec....

I've busted the trim/handle that goes over the internal handle (one you pull to close door, not the door opening handle). This trim hides some of the bolts that I assume holds door card in place.

Going up scrapyard to see if I can get a replacement, but wanted to know are they same on 200's as on 25.

Also, need a new clock display, I guess the 200 one is different to my 25?

No towbars on any car I own, thank you very much. Hence why I had to borrow the car as well as the caravan....

Alas i realised a few weeks ago that for the first time since 1996 i was roverless  :y

Not sure about standard Rover 25`s but the set up of internal door from my last 1996 rover 200vi to my 2001 rover 25gti were different ! i think that may have been the case for these models only though

But the clock from the Rover 25 and 200`s i had were same - and both had all their pixels !!

I take it thats the problem with the clock Jamie ? They are notorious for losing pixels  :( good luck finding one in a scrapper and securing it at a decent price  ;)

Yup, pixels gone.

Was gonna take it apart, but didn't want to intil I had some sort of replacement in case I really knackered it.

sure there was someone on ebay offering a repair service - not sure id trust it though

Also thinking again about door cards i think they are different - the 25`s and 200`s have different door pockets, different internal chrome handles and i think therefore different surrounds for the handles. but The internal grab handles halfway down the door are the same i reckon ( at work so working from memory)

I`d Stick with the Rover 25 trim to be safe - or take your broken trim part and match it up at the scrappy! :y

Dont have many Rover bits left or id mail you them if i had them  :(

Went to scrappy yesterday, couldn't find any 25s. 200 internal handle is completely different.

:(

Yeah TB they are all different because the 200 (bubble shape) has the same door cards as the previous 2000 1989-1996 only the 25's will have the one's you are looking for
