Just been talking to a mate of mine who works in a motor factors & he informs me that Quinton Hazell have now gone down the pan, I found that they were one of the better suppliers of spare parts unlike some of the rubbish coming in from abroad, What a sad state of affairs this country is turning into :'(.

I saw this on another forum last week - forgot to post about it here, but IIRC it's the parent company that's called in the receivers; of course that'll take QH with it most likely.
I suppose the fact is 'most' people no longer repair their own cars - they go to dealers (who use their own parts) or back street garages (who use whatever is cheapest coming out of China)..

Replaced your stat with a jobbie? Will that work? You may find sludge in your header.

According to the KMPG website, there have been no offers for the company as a going concern, so it is being would down. :'(
As cars have generally got more reliable, then fewer and fewer spares are required. A friend of mine who had a motor factors closed shop about 10 years a go for this reason.

Most cars have become reliable, but surely they could have been kept afloat by supplying parts for omegas. ;D

Website catalog has gone, shame as the vehicle reg look up was pretty informative.
Anyone know of a similar site that gives more that the basic info? (eg chassis and engine type info)
