Title: That time of year?
Post by: BazaJT on 19 February 2013, 19:29:01
In the last two days I've seen an "L" reg Morris Marina 1.8 TC Coupe,a "B" reg Humber Sceptre MK1,An "A" reg Humber Hawk and a Mini Clubman van[don't know the age of that as haven't seen number plate]all driving passed work.I don't think any were concours but nor were they rusting hulks. It must be the time of year for them coming out of hibernation, still nice to see such things doing service though.I owned a Sceptre way back in the '70's,and if I could afford one I'd have a Super Snipe or Imperial[they're what dad used to run]

Sometimes Lizzie I think it would be nice to travel back in time, but then no I'm quite happy as is.I agree the hawk was a very nice car, mind you Humbers were quite a quality make were they not?As said dad had the Super Snipe and Imperial, with the earlier ones he had there used to be ten of us[8kids+mum and dad]going on holiday in just the one saloon car!
