Title: Skyfall
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 21 February 2013, 16:23:45
For some crazy reason Mrs Opti has always had the hots for Daniel Craig. >:( >:(

With this in mind she has just wasted £10 ( inc post) on the Skyfall DVD from Amazon. :-\

What's the betting that I find the same film in some "bargain bucket" for 99p before the weekend begins. :( :(

I've just been told to mind my own business. Mrs Opti has just informed me that she used Amazon vouchers which she receives for her "shop and scan" activities.

I still don't think she should have used them without my supervision though. :-X

I notice Nectar have stopped doing Amazon vouchers. Bugger. I have shed loads of points, and Nectar have nothing useful to spend it on.

I have never really been a big Bond fan. Liked Goldfinger but thats about it until Daniel Craig became Bond. Now he plays the character how I would expect a Secret Agent to be... :y

Is he the Best Bond?
Yes in my book.

I have Skyfall here but not watched it yet ;)

Shir Shawn was my favourite Bond until Mr Craig arrived on the scene.

As others have said, DC brought a lot of Connery back into the role, moreso than the others inbetween.

Telly currently on the fritz and in the repairshop so watching the small one from the 'van currently.  Will save skyfall for the return of the (home) big screen! ;D

Agree with that lot  :y

For me, he brings that nasty edge to bond that was needed

Well, hate to admit this but thats what I bought. £7 . . . .but you need to spend £30 to get it at that price.

I love big movies, but I hate going to the cinema to see them. Expensive, full of other irritating people, eating stuff, chomping popcorn etc etc, yacking blah blah.

So, I wait till a decent deal on the DVD. Big TV, stereosound on, bottle of plonk, way to go  :y AND - you can pause for a top up or visit to to the bog  ;D

Nah Roger Moore. He would lift an eybrow and look at the camera every minute or so with a look which obviously said "I know its a load of old bollix, but they are paying me a bloody fortune". ;D ;D

I was not terribly impressed, but there were some very good special effects/CGI.  I must agree, that Connery was the best Bond. :y

saw it the otherday ( it was the IOU from Valentines Day ;D). TBH, whilst I enjoyed it, I think it was a bit hyped up. For me it wasnt as good as Casino Royale, though certainly far better than QOS. Craig does seem to bring that edge of cruelty that is in the Flemming books and part of Connery's Bond , back to the role though, which is all to the good following Roger Moore's overthetop, almost cartoonish, Bond and the over sauve Brosnan. Personally I liked both Connery and Brosnan. Best Bond films for me? Dr No, Goldfinger, Casino Royale , World is not enough and Die Another Day.

Having finally seen it tonight...

It was full of bigger holes than that ::) But is a very good film. Much more how Bond films used to/should be :y

I found some of the CGI poor TBH and some dreadful continuity errors ::) But a great film none the less :y

Couple of early beers in pub, home, pasta dinner, Skyfall and some red plonk with Mrs Rog.  :)

Good evening, good film ! Not too cheesy, but cheesy enough to remind you that it's a Bond movie. Glad I waited for DVD instead of paying a fortune at the cinema though.  :y Great to see an old DB5 !
