Got called all kinds of different names. But one day I turned to my bullies and said 'Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me', and it worked! >From there on it was sticks and stones all the way. :) :)

I favour the Carrot and Stick approach to bullies: if the stick doesn`t work, hit`em with the carrot! ;D

after 3 years of bullying at school i thought back and broke the kids collarbone after jumping up and down on him, i suppose when you finally lose it you can go big style !!
but being bullied at school can have a huge effect on adulthood, i make sure my daughter is not going through what i went through but found out she was doing the opposite, which has been nipped in the bud straight away!!!!!

i was bullied at school for years. one day i snapped and punched the girl that hard i broke her nose! i also managed to smack her sister and her mum in the same day! got a reputation as a bit of a nutter but was never bullied again!

When i was 10 @ secondary school a bigger 11'12 year old gave me grief in the form of a fat lip, wind punch to the gut & general pushing about, usually had a couple of mates with him so i took it for a good few weeks. One day the red mist rose & being a bit smaller i threw a punch upwards & caught him right under the hooter (which i now know is a weak point)
End result :- He got taken to the Medical Room & sent home for the day. I got a letter sent home resulting in my Dad giving me a clip round the ear for fighting at school followed by a pat on the back for winning!!???
I was confused but not bullied again. ::)

Not to mention the 6 weeks in a tubigrip after falling over up at yours,

A disaster waiting to happen

I was bullied baddly at school, I wont go it to too many details but at 17 I was stabed in the chest and had my head slammed in a car door.
When I awoke in hospital a few days latter I said to my self, never never again.
Ironic is it not that just a meer two year's later I was working as a doorman in some of the worst places the North of England had to offer, by 23 I was working CPP out in Eastern Europe.
I turned out that once I got over my fear of been hurt, that I realised I had a skill. a talent for dealing with the unruly, If I want it more than them, I have won, I wont back down, I wont be beaten. Some people asume that because of the jobs I have done it makes me a thug, thats wrong, because in 11 years I've lost my tempore twice, once with a guy who had my girlfriend by the throat and some one I saw stamping on a cat, both I feel arn't going to stop me going to heaven :)
In the office I work at now, there is a couple of blokes that try and lord it over the younger and newer staff, I enjoy verbly cutting them up, it seems almost more intemdating to these week spinless bullys in all walks of life when some one they know could hurt them, doesn't but crushes them with meer wit or the "thought" of what could be done.
It's my old schools reunion in 6 weeks, I will be going, and I will be polite and respectful, but woe betide any one that thinks I'm till the Jon they almost killed on 1st of Feburary 1997.
I'm not a vengeful person, in fact I should thank them for helping me find my strengh, but it's my mannor now and they may need to show a little respect.
(Epic rant over, back to normal forum viewing after the break)

When I was about 13 in the senior school back in the early 50's I was made to get up on top of the dustbins and start tap dancing (Which I was pretty good at :-[) by the bullies, and as I tapped my way along the lids I came to the biggest B******d of them all and let him have it with a hobnail boot straight in the face..there was claret everywhere...funny thing was that after he came back to school after a week off, he and his Nancy boys friends never picked on me again..
Always remember that idiots name.. BRIAN CHOPLIN..

I wouldn't say I was bullied at school but because I was the biggest in my year, the inadequate boys in the year above would pick on me to prove how hard they were! As has been said before, the red mist eventually rose and I ended up breaking one kids arm when he started on me but to give him is due he never ratted on me. Mind you, he would look a bit silly wouldn't he admitting that a kid in the year below floored him :)
Unfortunately, some people don't know when to call it a day, and that pertains to all walks of life, ages and social standings until they find themselves looking up at the ceiling wondering how they got on the floor ;) I'm all for a quiet life me but....

As my Dad used to say...don't use your fists until your feet are bleeding.
I used to get bullied at school because I wasn't the perfect shape, didn't have the perfect hair cut and my parents weren't filthy rich. One day I flipped and layed out one of the bullies that picked on me. A week in hospital having his jaw wired sorted him out.
I take great pleasure in picking on bullies even now (all 18st of me) ;).

As a 1st year, the custom was to be initiated by being thrown off a high wall into a muddy puddle. A third year decided to "get me" . I snapped and fought back and they gave up. I was never bullied again.
We did have a class bully called Olsen. The history teacher punished him one day by wait for it.......
Making him stand on one foot in a rubbish bin at the front of the class. He had to hold a book out horizontally on one arm whilst describing circles with the other arm and leg. Each time his hand holdintg the book lowered from horizontal the teacher hit him on the head with a piece of broken chair. By the end of the lesson he was silently blubbing. That did him for bullying from that point on.
I would like to see a teacher try that nowadays!
