..In South Africa[sorry if this has been posted about-looked but didn't see one]It seems the bail hearing could go down the tubes because the chief prosecution guy is facing SEVEN counts of attempted murder!!!

Yep, as I understand with colleagues who fired into a car in the course of their duties.   ;)

Thats the problem Albs. All media is selective in their reporting to meet their own needs, based on sensation, their own political directions, and their own internal battles.

So as a consumer of that media, we don't know if what they are saying is true. We know its possibly based on truth, but thats not the same thing.

Only really possible if you are given a fair amount of information.  Most of the media reports I've seen today about that South African copper have entirely failed to mention he shot those people in the course of duty, so as to create an illusion that he is a "murderer" himself.

Then some people will take what is printed/broadcast as gospel, and tell everybody else of it as a fact.
