Any ideas what I can fill the radiator with to clean it out properly?

If it's off the car then fill it using kettle discaler and leave it to soak for a while

you cannot effectively clean a paralell flow radiator as the water takes the path of least resistance,ie the water flows through the clear tubes rather than force crap out of the blocked ones.

If you fill the radiator to the top it will start to disolve the shit that is blocking, if they are blocked.
I have no problems with the heat, I just wan't to clean out what i can now that its out

Don't know where to get fernox in Norway, so will try out some dishwasher cleaner, don't know how well it works on a cold radiator though.  :P
