Title: Steering Box
Post by: Elite Pete on 05 November 2006, 19:27:46
When I bought my Meega it as tramling like a..... well a tram so I changed the wishbones and Idler arm which made a slight difference but it still tramlines. Next up ive been collecting track rod ends to change those but when I was under the car yesterday I realised that Omegas have a steering box and not a rack. Ive come across the steering box on a Range Rover I used to own and the box was adjustable so I got from under the car and had a look and after 5 minutes of adjusting no more play in the steering and the tramling has all but gone all that remains is the have the tracking, camber and whotnot set and bobs your antie :y

I realised that it had a steering box and not a rack, but didn't get as far as thinking about adjusting the box.

Motion for a how-to guide, all in favour?  :)

I've got a bit of tramlining, had just put down to 235/45 tyres, so would be interested in this.....
