Title: BP Ultimate 97

Stopped on the way into work for fuel and decided to try this as I'd seen it mentioned on here before, and I was just curious.
On driving away thought it felt immediately smoother and a bit more responsive, though I appreciate this is probably just my imagination, particularly as I had been almost on fumes at that point  :-X
I've reset the mpg as well, just to see if there's any comparison.
At 7p per litre over the standard 95, I'm almost hoping there is no real benefit, as I couldn't afford to use it full time, or I'll never get the money together for the gas conversion  ::)

I should also add that lately I've been avoiding the supermarket pumps, and although I haven't kept a really close eye on it, I do think the mpg is up by using other forecourts. Only slightly, but up nonetheless  :y

Very subjective topic.

Me, myself, with anything I have owned, the fuel used (supermarket or otherwise) hasn't made an ounce of difference.

Apparently, on very heavily tuned engines, the difference is night and day.

Now I always have noticed a difference between supermarket and brand, the diesel even more so

It does a grand job of keeping my emissions light off.  ;) ;) :y ;D

I only notice it in newer engines, my Omega (2000) I never noticed any difference, my SAAB (2006) however used to love V-Power. All modern engines seem to like it, and run better  :y.

run my rover on that with octane booster + lead replacement=goes fine (buick needs 100 octane :D)
But miggy always use 95 as I only use it on start up-lpg most of time :y :y money I save gets gulped by rover :D

Are the old fuel black magic, lots of nasty stuff that use to get put in,tolune,benzines,liquid oxygenmethonaland some i cant pronounce or spell.,some of the F1 fuels when used in a road car,then put on the rollers made it lose power.
  i use either tesco 99 or sainsbees 97 both are proven on the rollers,up to 10bhp gain on a std engine in good tune,more with a race engine,.
