Title: Speeding tickets
Post by: Kieran on 07 May 2008, 21:52:12
Got  home  today and their on my front doormat is a notice saying my car has been speeding doing 36 in a 30 >:(
Once i had checked the date i realised it had been my wife driving it to work where there is a fixed camera she goes past every week. Now this wouldn't have been so bad but she has been caught by the same camera on the same road only three weeks ago doing the same speed 36mph. :-X The only thing is she is over in Belgium for a dog show so i can't even have a go at her, great timing.I am thinking of buying her a car that can only do 30mph top speed  ::) that will stop the tickets or if she gets caught once more she will be banned as she will then have 12 points :(
Rant over, so much for a lovely sunny week

I appreciate your rant ... I'd be livid ... if she drives that way regularly, she knows the camera is there.....

Once is careless, twice is stupid ...

Oh how SHE laughed as she handed me the speeding ticket delivered by the postman, Oh how I laughed once I read it and realised it was for her car, just happened to be in my name as was a 'handmedown'
Got another one the following day, same speed same road, this was a few years ago now. :)

Mrs Tony H picked up a speeding fine a few years ago and it loaded my insurance renewal by ten per cent also unlike the dvla that consider  the points as "spent" after three years, your premium can be effected for five years ( robbin' b@stards >:()

i've been lucky to escape 2 potential tickets, one by a marked traffic car just 3 weeks ago which failed to clock me in time and also failed to catch me up (3.0 has advantages after all even if its LPG is cack!!) and i also went thru a 30mph camera at 40mph without realising, but must have been a dead camera
