Half of Glasgow is suffering sore heads this morning, the other lot are very very subdued ;D

They are going to be in a right quandary, do they support the local rivals or one of the most hated teams.
My boss said at his squash club that they were all supporting a foreign team playing against Manchester.
My boss went there once as a guest of a customer in a box and had people outside it looking at him funny for cheering the opposition (his local team as a child - and still supports - who won!)

Game is in Manchester - Rangers V Zenit St Petersburg ( Russian ) team,
No Manchester tams playing in it and the Russians wont bring many fans....nearly every coach company, bus company, citylink, megabus, flight and train out of Glasgow is booked on May 13th 8-)

:-? :-? who is the most hated team??
United are playing Chelski in the European cup (in Moscow)
Rangers are playing St Petersberg in Manchester in the UEFA cup
- good show by British clubs if you ask me.
Actually Arsenal are the most foreign team in the Premiership - the only British player is Theo Walcott - and he is usually a sub.

Update on this.....
Looks like Man City Stadium will be filled with Rangers fans and theres also a strong ruumour that Old Trafford will also be opened to allow.......another 120,000 Rangers fans to watch the game on screens there.
So looks like we are coming with nearer 200,000 foot soldiers.
Any locals able to advise if Manchester has other mass congregation areas ?

If your in North England next week, have a disliking of Rangers Fans, Jocks or football fans in general....time to go on holiday..
Numbers of "us" coming south is astonishing.
Estimates now near 200,000. Extract below from Glasgown Newspaper today ( yep we can read up here !!)
"Meanwhile, Rangers fans have booked almost every available hotel room in the north-west of England for next week's final.
Travelling supporters have filled an estimated 75,000 beds in Greater Manchester and nearly as many again in Blackpool - the resort that is fast turning into a base camp for the Scottish fans ahead of the clash with Zenit St Petersburg.
Tourism officials in Manchester yesterday admitted they were recommending Rangers fans look for accommodation as far away as Leeds.
Thousands of supporters have chosen to go to Blackpool, which has 2000 hotels and guesthouses with space for 60,000 people."

I won't be going to Blackpool then. :)

Would love to, but 2 other fans got to the holiday book before me, plus two other guys are on holiday. >:(
I tried but 6 on a production line with 4 being given holidays means crap management and a busy time for yours truly.
Cant even watch it on telly or the pub as I am on backshift this week which means a midnight finish.
Radio it is then.
