Going to clean out the drain holes in the next couple of days and while the bonnets up should it stay or should it go. I know what most are going to say but what im wondering is there any reason to NOT remove it.

My advice is to remove and junk it mate :y

is there any reason to NOT remove it.
Do tell your insurance company, they will reagard it as a modification to the alarm system so in the unlikely event your car was stolen and they some how found out they may not pay out.

Unplugged mine today as it started to get the 4 beeps and sounded when I started the car a couple of times :y It only sounded for around 3 seconds then stopped, so must have completely died, I have left it in place for the moment and will remove later. :y :)

just found and binned mine took about 10 mins

Remove it as soon as possible - still a potential fire risk ;)
