My mate rang me earlier & told me he had £220.00 worth of diesel syphoned out of his truck last night. He's only just getting back on his feet after a while off due to illness too. He has to stand to it himself, there's no insurance for it.
Sickens me, because he's just a hard working bloke like you & i.
If your gona rob someone, then make sure they've millions & do it big time & not normal Joe's >:( >:( >:( >:(

:o Fuel theft is becoming a real problem since it became sky high to buy.
Evidently it`s not just vehicle fuels; domestic heating oil and red-diesel tanks on farms are a major target.
A community centre (not far from here) recently had 2000 litres of kerosene stolen; the night after receiving the delivery. :'(
Kerosene hereabouts is now 60p litre; 2 years ago it was 18p litre! :o

Yep. My parents have oil fired heating and it seems the oil prices have been passed on to them to an even greater degree than motorists when you consider that there's no duty on it.
Still, you need to be fairly well equipped to steal 2,000 litres, surely? :o

The CCTv at the community centre showed white transit-pickup with two 1000 litre plastic tanks (the sort in cubiform galvanised cages) in the back.....the men spent about 25 minutes using an electric pump to transfer the fuel.....Police are investigating how the thieves knew the kerosene had only just been delivered.
