Most of you on here will know that I am somewhat sceptical about the whole climate change business. However, I have long believed that on a local and regional scale, climate is definitely affected by land use. For years, grazing animals have been slaughtered in the misplaced belief that they were ruining the environment. Indeed, thousands of elephants were culled in Africa.
In this video talk, just released, is what I believe to be irrefutable evidence that grazing animals can reverse the current increase in desertification, bringing hope to millions around the world - with huge benefits for famine relief, food supply, economic advancement and climate.
It's 22 minutes long, but if you take the time, I hope you will be as amazed as I was to see that a) scientists can get it so wrong in the past, and b) how a simple, practical and hugely beneficial solution can be implemented.
Highly recommended! :y :y

Just watched it and really you can't dispute the facts, the people that will argue are going to be the self interested i.e Corrupt politicians,oil/chemical companies etc It looks like if you can get round that problem and then educate the people into the system that's needed for sustainability it looks like we'll be part way to a better world. What I found interesting was the amount of damage that is done to the enviroment by burning the grasses to clear the land, this guy really understands the problem and has the answers to deal with it.Certainly worth watching :y

Fine but don't use goats. They have already ate half of Africa.
