Title: Anyone used mightydeals.co.uk
Post by: Lazydocker on 10 March 2013, 08:25:25
As per the title... Anyone used them? There's an offer on there that I'm seriously considering but just seems too good to be true :y

Avoid them like the plague by the looks of things.
What is it you are looking for?

That seems to refer to some muppets who didn't read the obvious postage charge mostly and the deal provider as opposed to MD themselves :-\

Looking at more google results, it seems that they are legit but some of the deal suppliers can be unreliable :-\

Yep, but I'm buying a mattress that should be just under £1000 and it's considerably less ;)

I do have a slight niggle over it though... Might speak to someone tomorrow as the majority of the issues I've found seem to be with suppliers :-\ Seems about 10 people have taken the deal up :-\

careful, my wife recently got scammed by someone selling dresses on F/B for a price which seemed too good to be true. Turned out she had no dresses for sale, and kept everyones money. On the plus side, she did get 14 months in prison for it. The scammer got in serious trouble too ... lol

Just as a quick update... Did a lot of research and in the end I rang the company supplying the item today (large, legit company) and the offer is genuine :y

Bargain for me... A fifth of the standard price  :y

If you're dead set on that Company/Mattress Paul it would appear from their website that you're better off going to them direct and taking full advantage of the 'Free 30 day trail'. That way you try before you buy & make up your own mind based on actual use without financial penalty if you decide against keeping it :y.
I can't say i'm impressed by what i've seen on that site mind you, it all looks Bog Standard stuff at low end prices to me even without any 'Discount' applied & the old adage you get what you pay for etc, but as said only you can decide, & it's an important decision in your case especially. I hope you find the best solution at a reasonable price! :y

Sorry for the confusion... I was in the car waiting for SWMBO and using the phone and didn't check the link :-[ :-[

This (http://www.trusleep.com/products/memory-foam-mattresses/trusleep-ortho/trusleep-ortho-deluxe/trusleep-ortho-deluxe-super-king-product.html) is the one that I'm getting on the offer and I'm afraid Phil there is just no way I can afford to pay £999 for it, especially when I can get it for £199 ;)

I've compared with other suppliers, including Memory Foam Warehouse who are normally cheap, and it's by far the best deal I can find :y I have to bite the bullet and take a chance but am happy now I have spoken to the supplier and they confirmed that the mattress I have linked to is in the deal :y

Should add, I've tried a lesser quality one of these recently and it was superb... Much better than we currently have :y

See above for my confession that I didn't actually read the link :-[ :-[

I an confused. Not by anything you have done, Paul, but by the fact that they can sell a matress worth a grand for £199. What's in it for them? People are (usually) pretty savvy these days and if they see this offer they'll be unwilling to pay full price in future.

Not that I think any piece of foam is worth £1000. ;D

I agree with you and, TBH, don't see how they can justify the full price :-\ :-\ I see that all other mattresses in the Ortho range except the Deluxe (on the offer) are reduced ::) But, TBH, I don't really care much about their future sale chances... £199 is dirt cheap for a mattress in the size I need, lete alone a memory foam one ;)

It's cheaper, and ultimately more practical, for you to buy a plastic under sheet ;)

After all, you're bound to do it again ::) :P

You'd better make sure you're aiming your arris in a safe direction when you feel a pressure buildup Steve, i've heard those butt plugs are notoriously easier to come out than they went in! ;D

I use the wife as a buffer, so as not to damage the bedroom fittings. She has a few bruises but she'll live.

Was that £199 for the super king size, LD? Damn good deal if it was (and if it wasn't!)..

Looking at beds a while back we found one we both agreed on and found a mattress we bought thought was the most comfortable thing we'd ever laid on (like sleeping on a perfectly supportive cloud).. Just a shame Dreams wanted £2500 for the bed and £2500 for the mattress!

Needless to say, we didn't buy that. We bought a £500 bed that I've had to fix twice because it's fallen apart thanks to my lardy ass being in it..  :-[ :-[ ;D

Yep... Unfortunately the deal has ended but I paid £199 for a Super King (180x200cm) memory foam mattress :y :y :y

It was a fraction too big (width) for our Ikea bed base but fitted with a little shove ::) ;D And there's no longer a dip in the middle where the previous mattress had the join of the 2 singles :y :y

To be fair, the old one is still fine... It's an Ikea Sprung Foam mattress and very comfortable... Just not as comfortable as this one ;D It will probably end up in our spare room once I go and buy a big enough base ::) ::)

We are both suffering from "Velcro Back Syndrome" at the moment and getting up in the morning is a real chore ::) ;D

Velcro Back Syndrome - finally I have a name for what I've been suffering from for the last 30 years... ;D

Sounds like a good deal, though, and a bonus that it (just) fits the slightly oddly sized Ikea frames  :y
