I won't mention how much the weather station that's just been bought for me at work cost (nor how much my time to make it managed over SNMP instead of the manufacturer's dodgy serial protocol cost). ;D

no, don't think so.

Thanks guys, I didn't think so, but pay bills on line and don't always look at the statement, if it seems about right; that said, a prime example of why I should pay more attention... ;) ;)

Actually i havent lol......must still be in postman pats van....
-
Still waiting mine....... ::) ::)
Coincidentally last week I was speaking with someone who said they had been waiting months for an item ordered on line, when we compared notes it was the same thing.... :D :D
-
I see Nickbat's lying low!! ::) ;D
-
When you ordered it, were you made aware that it might take more than 28 days to be delivered?
If not, I would take it up with trading standards as they are not complying with mail order regulations, where an item should be delivered within 28 days, unless they forewarn you it might take longer.
-
I think Hell'll freeze over before they arrive.
Shame you won't know when it is about to happen ;D ;D ;D
-

If we ever get them they'll most probably be shit and after all this waiting that would be one hell of a kick in the teeth... :-\
Why they took the money when they did a long time after we placed the orders, naturally you'd think their not far off from being delivered, bloody scumbags >:( ;D

We were given, i think, 2 opportunities to cancel the order, by email, they eventually took the money from our bank accounts on the 4/5th june......so im guessing they 28 days from then to deliver....which makes the beginning of july......we shall see....
-
They'll probably turn out to be Chinese Clone Weather Stations that only show 6 month out of date Data, oh and can't handle the changeover to BST so you'll have to reset the date every day in the 'Summer' ;D
-
I see Nickbat's lying low!! ::) ;D
Who? Never heard of him. :P
Think you should all launch a class action against the Daily Telegraph. :y

Mine has developed a fault, The outdoor sensor's red light is constantly on, It doesn't blink now and then like it should, The main indoor unit doesn't pick up the outdoor sensor signal. Nothing to do with batteries. :-\

I seem to recall at the time that the battery compartment didnt look all that waterproof to me.
Hence why I screwed mine to facia board directly underneath the guttering (easy to do with a 1 storey extension out the back)
Would be interesting to see if it was water damage inside it......doesnt work now so if you dont feel like using a screwdriver to take it apart a hammer will suffice ;D

Aye will try and open it and put the hair dryer on it if everything looks ok. At some point.
Yeah it doesn't look like it has good waterproofing.. I've got a £40 type in the bedroom bought 2 years ago, Still going strong Oregon or something the brand on that one.
