Title: Jensen Viperceptor
Post by: jonnycool on 12 March 2013, 21:48:26
Saw this car at the Classic Car Show at the NEC recently, my brother and I just looked at each other open-mouthed when we saw it, it is absolutely phenomenal, classic shape yet up-to-the-minute touches and technology. And it's now for sale! Really need to get in the habit of doing the lottery  :)

Can't say I am keen either,and I am old to remember then. Yes a lot of hard work has gone into it no doubt. But, what happened with the steering wheel ? Loads of money spent and then they appear to have fitted what looks like a £14.95 Mountney steering wheel from the 1970s. That is the kind of wheel people had on there Avenger/Escorts/Chevette/Viva  :-[

Meant to say, I appreciate it is probably the original wheel, but surely that was something that really needed updating  :)

And he has some very interesting other cars. Like MG RV8 I like them.

Had an original Mk3 6.3litre-had more filler than'steel.
Always wanted one but dropped a larger with that one. Got rid of it 14 years ago but still see it at classic car shows.
Like the one above though-but don't honk it's worth the money.

'scuse my ignorance, but presumably it is rear wheel drive?

I notice that they have used Falken 452's as their tyre of choice.

Wonder how badly they tramline on this wonderful car?

Don't tell Mr Gixer (or perhaps I should, then he can pester them for feedback about tramlining..............)

 ::) ;D :)

Totally different size and aspect rate to Omega sizes.  "Viperceptor" suspension set up probably more sophisticated than Omegas - result probably rides ok without wander.  Buy it and try it ;)
