Title: Do Delivery Drivers...
Post by: Lazydocker on 15 March 2013, 16:09:08
... sit around the corner and wait for you to go out? >:( >:( >:(

TNT called about 5 minutes after I went out to walk the dog ::) ::)

I wouldn't mind but the only thing I'm expecting is my new mattress and the call centre have confirmed it's 40Kgs so could well be it ::) Just a shame... Would have been really nice to have it for the weekend!

That's a bloody nuisance. I wanted to make sure they were ok before I ordered.
But even if they were rubbish, you'd probably tell me they were fine. You swine! ;D

Look at it this way...how chuffed do you think that delivery driver is at having manhandled the mattress to locate and scan the delivery label, loading the mattress on to his van (most probably single handedly), calling at the consignees address (who, by his own admission, is expecting the delivery ::)  ;) ) to find no one in, unload the mattress at the end of his shift and then do it all over again on Monday ?  (60 'drops' a day is the average I think.)

(Although I have to admit, I'd have a 'Victor Meldrew' moment when I saw the card too !  ;D )

Not really as I've had no notification it's been dispatched ;) Just assuming that's what it is ;)

I've done proper multi-drop so completely understand what you're saying :y

But even so >:( >:( :D :D

We use DPD at work. If the customer supplies a mobile number or e-mail address they will receive a text message or an e-mail advising a 1 hour delivery timescale for that day.

TNT - funny you should mention.

Should have had a Lino delivered, to site, on wed's, instructed to not deliver before 10 - no show. Get there following day at 9:00 card through door for 8:50 - typical

Ring call center - very friendly and helpful. He rings dist center arranges for re-deliver as close to after 10 as poss today. Get there this morning 9:10, card for 8:45 through door delivered 5 doors up - WTF.  Anyway it's fitted now

So will agree TNT   Tards No Talent

Parcel Force Bunch of Winkers in a dispute with them at the mo.
Had one of there drivers verbally abuse my lad when he delivered an item on the date i had arranged prior with them.
Driver got gobby at him as he said he had tried to deliver on the previous day and why was no one available

We were attending a family funeral so therefore i arranged a different day but the driver wasn't having it, big man gave the lad abuse. Easy to pick on the young ones who are unlikely to hit back. KNOB.
