Length :y as manual need different route
never replace cable when converting car from auto to manual

Cheers Serek. Trouble is I need to replace it because the cup/ball at the throttle end has been mashed by a previous owner/garage not knowing how to remove and you can't get retaining pin in or out - it's currently bodged to keep it on!
So I was wondering (as you rightly remember I'm going to ditch the slush-box) if it was better to get the manual cable.
BTW, how's your Gloabl TIS working?

Auto also has kick down switch doesn't it?

I'd say that was the main reason :y ..... and why would the manual vs auto need a different route? :-\ :-\

same length.
Auto cable has kickdown switch. Not requiredd if you've ditched the fun-free transmission
-
So either will work for manual albeit perhaps with an extra bit I don't technically require.
Cheers for replies ;)

you might just feel the the detent for kickdown at full throttle

In favour of the Victorian signal box with block and tackle clutch operation..? ;)
