Two new additions to the Big Fra household.

They were given back to the breeder as the previous owner became severely ill. She was a psychiatric nurse who was in a violent relationship, she finally had the courage to kick him out and then, the same week, two of her patients hung themselves.

She regressed into a bad place and was admitted into the same hospital she worked at.

It's a terrible shame, but fortunately she signed the dogs back to the breeder. (my friends mother), who always knew that I wanted one of her dogs.

It now transpiers we have two. Heiko, in the Blue collar 12 months old, and Skye, pink collar who is 24 months old.

They need a wee bit of training and a good bit of reassurance as it seems they are a little wary of males, but even after one day I can already see them starting to come out of themselves.

Oh yes, they need to be re-housetrained. :-/

They are so great! :y

I will try to put a link to some better piccies which were taken in Fife.

:y Smashing pair!.....welcome to your new lives Heiko & Skye. ;)

There`s bound to be upset in their minds; they have after-all lost their pack-leader; a kind of bereavement....but consistent leadership and an excercise regimen will help them bond with you.
The re-house training will sort itself out once they`ve got the house routine and they have their place within it.

`Sad road that brought them to you Big Fra but they`ll have happy lives and bring you much joy, of that I`m sure. :y

Nice looking dogs .. :)

They'll soon settle down with some TLC and become part of the family   :y :y

All these piccies of dogs is making me forlorn ... you now have me thinking about another one when I retire ( 3 months) .. we had cocker spaniels .. one for 14 years,  one for 12 years ....

Fully fledged Shepherds, got all their papers today.

Heiko's pedigree name is Saxonspride Black Consul

Skye's pedigree name is Saxonspride Black Brora

Looking at their paperwork, Heiko will be 1yr old on the 18th of this month. Skye will turn 3 on the 29th of October. Co-incidentally, that's my birthday also.

If you fancy one from Heiko's brother Kai, Tereeza has 18 puppies for sale at the moment, Black ones, White ones and Pandas.

6 weeks old. ;)

Thanks for the offer .. but Mrs E is paranoid anti-shepherds ... I was brought up with them so no problem.

She was "attacked" (?) by one as a child - enough to really frighten her - and it took a long time for me to convice her they were OK - we then got an 8 month bitch from a rescue home - beautiful animal - bit nervy but I saw potential.......

Then this prat from around the corner - he owned a large GS dog - decided to "show off" his animal - cut a long story short he "herded" Mrs E into a phone box and trapped her there - that was it ... Mrs E back to scared .. our new one could sense this .. it all went pear-shaped .. so she went back to the rescue home....

We then ended up with a Cocker ... fantastic dog .. so the next one was also a Cocker ... again .. a good family dog .. but more a ladies dog than the first one...

So I might just have to look for another Cocker in September ...

Aah, GSD. Best dog in the world IMHO. I've had a couple and as soon as (the latest) SWMBO is at home with the next batch of kids then I'll be having another GSD!  :y

Its already started!

He is great on the lead but after a walk, within 5 minutes he $hits in the house.

She, on the other hand, is great in the house but as soon as she is on the lead she pulls like crazy, although this has gotten a little better.

Thanks for all the lovely comments guys, I appreciate it, and so do the bears. :D
