So I was asked to make this for my father in law. Its not complete yet, its waiting on paint but its nearly there. In case you cant tell he wanted an old time cottage look and its a dog house. A very expensive dog house!! 2" box iron frame, 18mm marine plywood all round, 50mm polyurethane insulation in roof floor and all sides, natural roof slates and real glass windows with a textured paint finish which should come out like a plaster finish.

Don't let the council see it either or you'll be asked to pay rates on it ;) Great bit of workmanship there.

Thanks for the kind comments folks, much appreciated. A lot of hard work involved. I know its vast overkill but its what the man wanted! He spends all his time with the dog as he trains them up into sheepdogs so thinks a lot of it.
As for ventilation there is a full size door at each end which open fully so should be ok.
Now does anyone think there would be a market for these! I could make them into a replica of the owners own home or any other building but they would be fairly expensive I think. Haven't finished this one yet so dont know the total cost but you can have a guess

That look very good and I'm sure there must be a market for them at the right price. In London there is a potential market for up to 650, ooh sorry, that is for duck houses.... on expenses. :o :o :o :o

In London there is a market for about 500,000 of them. Nothing to do with ducks. You could get a family of six in there.

I think you will find that market has been fulfilled with garden sheds. Believe of not, Slough Council has a shed patrol to catch landlords doing this. :o :o :o :o
