Title: Car colour and bird crap
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 16 March 2013, 17:18:07
Are our feathered friends attracted to certain colours?

My Z147 star silver MV6 regularly gets shit upon from a great height, whilst Mrs Opti's ultra blue Corsa rarely gets touched. :-\

I'm not getting paranoid, but I'm sure that I can hear the pigeons laughing as they fly away, having opened the bomb doors directly over my Omega.

Birds often fly over something they deem a threat and then turn sharply, it's nature's way of alerting other wildlife to the presence of said threat.  Next time you have pigeons fly overhead watch them turn once they get above you.

The problem is that sometimes when they turn their sphincter relaxes and the inevitable happens.  So if there is something with the colour of your car they dislike then that could explain why they use it as their potty  :y
