eversince I have done a full flush using the recoomended on here radiator flush which worked wonders cleared so much crap, howver since then heater has been indifferent, yeaterday though lovely and warm today cool. It looks and feels the same as when James sorted it out a while back, so it looks like the loosed crud is blocking heater matrix. Question is can you get better access to the heater pipes with the windscreen scuttle off? I have a maze of LPG pipes in that area and I am sure James removed it but cant remember.

Don't know re lpg installation/pipework, but for petrol version removing scuttle will not give better access to heater pipes.

well as it was nice today though I would have another go at the heater pipes, warmed engine v slightly, twisted and contorted and yipeeee top pipe came off, thought got this sussed now, now for the bottom one, well 1 hour later gave in for today, my arms look like I have been savaged by a Tiger :o but think I am right in thinking the good flush has released loads of crud as not a drop came from the heater top pipe. Maybe tommorow, although I am convinced that bottom pipe is superglued, bolted and welded. ;D

I had a similar issue a few months back when I had to flush my matrix, the pipes where stuck on.
I think the seal on the connector gets stuck on the metal pipe over time.
I removed the scuttle, which doesn't give you much more room, but does allow you to see in there better.
I also gave the pipe from the matrix a squirt of WD40 which may have helped a little. Then I got some slipjoint pipe pliers around the plastic joint and managed to get it to twist a bit. I actually felt it 'unstick'. Made a cracking noise. Once I had unstuck the joint, I was able to get my hand in there an wiggle and twist it off.
It's a bugger as it is such tight access. After successfully flushing the matrix I put a dab of Vaseline on the pipes before I put it back together. They went back on a damn sight easier than they came off!
I flushed the matrix again at the weekend when I changed the HBV and the pipes came off the matrix like greased lightning.
Good luck.

Just dont use vaseline as it attacks rubber...

Funny you should mention the pliers as just brought a set home today after seeing them and thinking "they will do for the bottom pipe".
Thanks for the tip Mark.
