Title: Bike Insurance, how much?
Post by: tunnie on 21 March 2013, 11:41:42
But in a good way  :o

Last year I could not get a policy for less than £300 on the beemer, in end it was £354  :o :o (£6k bike, 4 years NCB, bike kept in locked garage and 28 year old rider without commuting)

Was doing quotes on MCN Compare recently, results around £170  ???

So decided to ring up and make sure its right, with legal cover, got my renewal for £190!

Quite a big saving there so quite chuffed, no idea why the massive drop though.  :-\

Guess so  :-\

Either way bring it on, means V8's will be much cheaper to insure  :D

Mine was £109, with legal cover, with a £25 cashback cheque if I still have policy in 3 months, so £84.

Fully comp, SDP+commute, rider policy so can ride other bikes.

Last year, taking cashback into account, it was around £60 IIRC, so gone up a bit for me.

My last policy came to £280 Tpft (Inc legal/breakdown/commuting) on a ThunderAce which I was reasonably happy about - I have had a claim in the last 5 years so that bumps it up a little.

That's with ebike

My renewal came through the other day, £120 IIRC. A bit expensive per mile though as it spent the vast majority of last year sat in my garage  :-[

That's the good thing about being a wrinkly, the insurance is cheaper. Just ask STMO. :)
