Not mine, a neighbour.
Vectra 18 SRi, 2000 reg.
Fob unlocks the doors, key unlocks the doors, but the drivers door won't open.
Can't remove the panel without the door open.

Does manually lifting the locking pin from the inside make any difference? Sons car unlocks ok but sometimes, drivers door need a wee extra lift from the inside to ensure the door lockpin is all the way up....

Tried that, you can hear it thumping away at the mechanism.

The driver's door on my car until I removed the mechanism & properly lub'd it all up has become progressivlly hard to open. It needed a right good tug to open it. Central locking was OK, it was just the latch mechanism that was very stiff. It was only when I'd put my car in to have the A/C sorted & the garage owner couldn't open the door that I felt shamed into doing something about it. :-[ ;)

Happened to me last year on the mig.
you need a wire coathanger, straighten out and put a small U shape hook on one end. Put this down between the glass and the window ledge and fish around, you are lookking for a piece of round metal that you need to hook and pull up, this should open the door.
:) :) :)

Door open, lubed and greased, works a treat now.
