There is an abandoned PFL 3.0 MV6 that has been left to rot in an underground car park. The guys here asked me if I wanted any bits from it after seeing my Omega.
It has 3xMV6 alloys which I'll have as well as the two cats. Anything else of value/worth taking? How difficult are to cats to remove at the engine end? Any specific tools required?
Thanks

Socket set and extensions needed for cat removal at engine end.
Beware shorting the extension out against the starter permanent live if you don't disconnect the battery first ;)
Also, if your name isn't on the logbook, removing anything of the car is classed as theft so be careful ;)

It's totally legit. Car is in a council block of 60's apartments. Said block is undergoing refurb work and council has given permission to contractor to get rid of everything including cars. Contractor has allowed me to take what I want

Take your tool kit down for the day and make a few quid :y :y :y

Wouldnt bother with sockets etc to remove the cats.Just cut through the exhaust either side of them with an angle grinder. ;)

Thanks for the comments/replies.
I don't really have the time to get all those bits you mention cem. ;D My boss (not the same person as the contractor) has been contantly on my case, spying on me and making frequent visits to the location of the car to check if I'm working on it. All I have time for is to cut the cats out with a grinder (cheers albs, how much either side shall I cut - ie. where is the good stuff?) and to take the wheels during my lunch break or after work.
I live in London and here you need a permit for almost everything so bringing the car home is not an option.
Sassanach, the bonnet is missing, can't remember anything else. But as above, no time to take orders for parts. ;D Car was involved in a rear ender and tax disc expired in 2004
I think they are getting rid of the lot by Wednesday so I need to act quick.
