have read of total vauxhal....they belive the holden will stay in oz and never make it too europe...which is a shame because it looks good :y
-
Are the costs to great to import these from oz as its a great looking car

Trouble is, the car needs to sell in big enough quantities to be worthwhile in this country and every man and their uncle wants a 5 Series, XF or Lexus at this particular point in the car spectrum, therefore, it's a non-starter, none of these people will want a VX badge on the drive when their neighbours have something 'supposedly' higher in the status symbol stakes.

Iirc, somebody on here looked into it last year :-\

Long gone are the "company car wars" - Many now just get money rather than put a choice in a tick box for a company car.
Days of Omega/Rover 800/Ford Granada are gone, thanks to company car tax rules can't see it returning either.
No one would really buy a big RWD Holden here, not in the numbers to make it worth while. Like the Omega be a depreciation disaster waiting to happen, just like Ford not bringing out something above the Mondeo.
Just have to accept it, the Omega is dead :(

You can buy it here ::) It's called the VXR8, and from new you get a choice of gearbox and colour and not much else...
Physically it's the same length as the Insignia, but a fair bit wider, (no bad thing) and rear wheel drive. 6.2 V8 and £45k, mean it will never be a big seller. Holds its value better than an Insignia too.
If GM were serious about selling Cadillac in Europe then they would import this...
