Title: Plumbing question
Post by: Nickbat on 27 March 2013, 18:57:01
I have an outside tap with threaded end.

I want to fit a shower hose on it, but can't find what sort of adaptor/connector I need. Any ideas?  ???

(In case anyone is wondering, the tap feed water from a regulator valve inside the house, so I can shower the dog with pre-set tepid/warmish water after his daily walk) ;)

Do what I did, Nick. Buy one of those cheap shower thingies that fit over the bath taps, then take the shower head off it an attach a garden hose which you can buy a tap connector for.
Actually, I did it slightly different. I took both end of the plastic tubing and fitted them to a garden hose. Now I attach it to the kitchen tsps and take the shower head outside.

This one's a bit dear, but I reckon that shower head would go on a garden hose.

I was hoping to use the shower tubing I already have, but maybe I need to go down your route, Steve.

Thanks. :y

I'm sure a couple of plumbing fittings would do the job. I'll have a rummage in my plumbing box and see if I can figure it out.
