Title: Blood question

Question in a quiz was how many pints of blood does the average human body contain?
My answer was 8.
Wrong, apparently .
Checking online there seems to be answers ranging from 8-14 pints!
Anyone know ?

My understanding is that depends upon how tall and fat you are.

now I checked the answer , for an avg 70 kg male around 5 litres..

I know how many pints of beer my body holds(or not) ;D

but I would have said about 10 pints about 10 arm fulls according to tony Hancock

Not sure how much blood I hold but  I had 15 and a half pints in 3 days when I had my wee bike accident.  ::)
