I can't seem to get the laptop to talk to the stag controller :'(
Don't know if its me, the software, the ecu or lead :'(
I'm going down to the van for 3 days tomorrow.
Is there anybody around Lincs area could have a look at my setup for me this weekend ?
I'm happy to travel if need be.
Just want this thing sorting
TIA

Also can add that the car run initially on the 3ltr map even though it was very rough and un driveable so it would seem to me that it is installed correctly. :-\

Tried;
Checking lead for damage
Any other available USB port
Updating the software
Download another gas synchro, and use that for the 3.2
Clicking the red connect button, bottom left. If software up to date.
Right thread this time hopefully. ::)

Mines on win7, no issues. Delete and re download gas synchro...?
Oh hang on, which site are you using to down load? Needs to be the polish one iirc, the uk one is 'dangle berries', again, iirc.

Just downloaded version 1.14.1.0 off the site.
I'll plug it in in morning and have a play when I've calmed down a little.
If I go out now, i'm liable to torch it :-X ::) :-[
Tbh, its getting to the point where i'd quite happily eat humble pie and take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Even if I end up looking like a total cock for half a hour ::) ;D
Thanks Chris :)

Do you know what version of the ECU you have?
.. because if it's a Stag 300, 1.14.1.0 is the latest version that'll talk to it.
If it's a 300+, Premium, ISA or whatever it's called, you need a later (the latest - 9.x.x IIRC) version. :y

What he says ^^^^
I'm sure you've got the 300 Plus (or ISA 2) :-\

Yes, its a 300 plus fitted :)
I've just downloaded 7.2.0.1 of the site.
The laptop keeps asking me if I want to upgrade but I said no ;D
Friggin hate computers >:(
I'll pop the stag ecu fuse for a bit and then try again and see what happens .
Either way, i'm off to the van for a couple of days.
Only been out of hull, once in 6 months so need to stretch my legs and get some fresh air ;)

It's probably a good idea to upgrade the ECU if communications with it seem reliable now. If there's a mismatch between ECU version and software version you might have other issues.
EDIT: You might need to recalibrate it, though. Maybe best to find out what the problem is first, but bear in mind the above.

Just tried that Kevin but it still hates me :'(
All I get is "no controller found / fails to communicate " messages :'(
The 3ltr map is still present because it will run but like a sack of shite for obvious reasons :(
The problem is ............. my laptop won't talk to the stag ecu .
I'll pull tag ecu fuse for now
Right, i'll be in the Skegness area for a couple of days on petrol :(
If anybody can help on this then send me a pm with a mobile number and i'll text / ring you back.
Quite happy to travel if that helps
I'll keep my leads / laptop with me but will have no internet.
If your good looking, I might even let you have my body for free if it helps :D :D :D
Thanks lads :)

Sounds like an issue with a missing or messed up USB driver in windoze. Is it a Stag message or a Microsoft message?
I would uninstall the software (as Chris said) but before re-installing it go into Windows control panel and remove any old Stag USB devices and then reboot the PC before reinstalling the software.

Check the driver installed. I seem to remember that early drivers were shite, and you need to manually put on later one, supplied in the downloads.
