Title: after the mig
Post by: raywilb on 05 April 2013, 17:09:14
because of the demise of my mig iv,e had to buy a cheap runaround, & ended up with a scenic. its  an auto g/box 1600cc job. engine wise on tickover its really quiet but in drive ,1st & 2nd there a noise. reverse is silent. automatics to me are alien. can anybody on here tell me what the problem may be. theres no g/box dipstick on these so I cannot check on the atf condition. :-\ :y the gears seem to be ok.

Scenic's can suffer with the right hand engine mount bottoming out on its mount pad, very common on the diesels but not seen it on a petrol one, just sounds harsh when accelerating but quiet on over run.
